Il Simposio annuale del dipartimento di Archeologia e Storia dell'Arte della Koç University di  Istanbul è un'iniziativa portata avanti dagli studenti di Laurea Magistrale e di Dottorato. Giunto alla sua quarta edizione, questo evento richiama studenti da varie università europee e non, e costituisce un'ottima occasione per presentare i propri lavori di ricerca e discuterne con colleghi e docenti. Il simposio si terrà il 30 Aprile 2016. Hadi, Istanbul vi aspetta!

Archaeology and History of Art Graduate Research Symposium, Koç University (Istanbul)
The ARHA Annual Graduate Symposium aims to provide a stimulating environment for graduate students who want to share their researches and interests in different fields of Archaeology, Art History and Museum Studies. This event, involving speakers from different universities around the world, provides an opportunity to talk about research goals and receive feedback.

This year we welcome proposals from students enrolled in M.A. or PhD programs that address topics from a wide range of time periods and geographic locations, as specified in the title. We invite object-based and theoretical approaches.  Possible topics include but are not limited to the following:
- Burial practices and funerary traditions.
- Secondary burials and re-use of human remains.
- Funerary rituals.
- Commemoration rites.
- Textual evidences: myths and the conception of the Afterlife.
- Human remains and their display in museums.
- Dark heritage and culture.
- The deliberate death and destruction of cultural heritage.
- Ethics of funerary display.
